The above video features footage of 2018 four-star quarterback and Stanford pledge Jack West from Saraland (Ala.) High at this past weekend's The Opening Dallas regional camp at Joe Brown Memorial Park.
West measured an impressive 6-foot-4, 217 pounds and performed well during position work. In fact, he caught the eye of the camp's coaches enough to earn an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals.
West looked particularly good on intermediate throws to the sidelines, which are passes that can often separate quarterback prospects at the high school stage. West's release may have been the quickest and most compact of the quarterbacks at The Opening New Orleans, which featured several high-profile signal callers in Colson Yankoff, Justin Rogers, and Grant Gunnell.
Like West, Rogers also earned an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals.
Stanford got West's commitment last July. The 2018 quarterback owns an impressive offer list that includes programs such as Alabama, Auburn, California, Duke, Louisville, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas A&M, UCLA, and USC, among others.
