Missouri Is Going All in for 2018 Three-Star CB Tyrone Collins

One school is pushing hardest for 2018 Bradenton (Fla.) Braden River three-star cornerback, Tyrone Collins.

Tyrone Collins is a wanted man with over a dozen offers to choose from, but wants to first pack his bags and journey through some college campuses before naming a leader.

Tagged as a three-star cornerback on Scout, the 6-foot, 170-pound Collins claims offers from MichiganBoston CollegeKentuckyMissouri and Iowa State among others.

"I don't have a top school yet because I haven't visited any of them yet," Collins said. "When I visit them, then I will decide on my top five or top three, but nothing so far."

Collins, who was recently provided with some disheartening news by tearing the ACL in his left knee, says a school representing the SEC is tagging him as a top priority heading into the spring evaluation period.

"Virginia Tech keeps sending me letters every day," Collins said. "The coaches there write to me a lot, but haven't offered me yet.

"The school that's been recruiting me the hardest is Missouri."

The 2018 prospect at Bradenton (Fla.) Braden River says secondary coach Ryan Walters and director of recruiting A.J. Ofodile are the Mizzou staff members diving into his direct messages on a weekly basis.

"What I like about Missouri is that they are building up a new football program to rise up to get a championship ring," Collins said. "I love their coverage, and they play freshmen if they work hard and focus.

"I know they are building new facilities at the university, and can't wait to see how it looks."

As expected, Collins' sole focus is rehabbing his knee and doing all he can in order to lace up the cleats for the 2017 season.

"I just tore my ACL and had surgery on it, like, a day ago," Collins said. "I'm just focused on that for right now, and also getting bigger, faster and stronger as the process keeps going."

Collins has no visits scheduled at this time.
