ACC, Big Ten schools first to reach out to 2019 DE Jalen Howard

Woodbridge (Va.) sophomore defensive end Jalen Howard has been a varsity starter since day one of his high school career and is starting to create a buzz on the recruiting trail.

Jalen Howard is poised to be one of the next great players for Woodbridge.

The 6-foot-2, 240-pound Howard is already receiving interest from multiple college programs.

"Penn StateVirginiaNC State and North Carolina are recruiting me," Howard said.

"Virginia is recruiting me hardest. It means a lot that they're showing so much interest."

His next visit will be North Carolina tomorrow.

"I'm definitely excited about the trip," Howard said. "I went to a game last season, so this will be my second time in Chapel Hill.

"I like the atmosphere and the campus. They also have great fans. I'm looking forward to talking to the coaches and developing relationships with them."

In regards to summer plans, he will camp at North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Alabama and Syracuse.
