Recruiting Update with Scout Top 100 CB Jalen Green

Intimidating cornerback prospect Jalen Green has secured over 35 scholarship offers and is one of the most coveted prospects in the nation.

Jalen Green, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback prospect from Houston (Texas) Heights is one of the top recruited defensive backs in the nation.

He reports 36 offers with schools like Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, TCU, Texas, USC all stepping to the plate.

"Right now I am looking to release my Top 10 soon," Green said, "early in May or June. (I am looking for) a culture that I can fit in at and a good environment."

It seems like every time we check up on Green that his offer list has grown. He talked about some of the schools that have really ramped up interest in him most recently.

"Nebraska, Georgia, Florida, Oregon and Penn State," Green said. "I was really surprised by Penn State and Oregon, because I did not know I was going to get those offers, but I did."

Texas has been doing a great job in the recruitment of Green and that is a program that he feels he is starting to form a strong early bond with.

"I think Texas," Green answered when asked which coaches he was building the best relationships with. "Because he (Texas Cornerbacks Coach Jason Washington) checks up on me every day. He checks up on my family to see how we are doing."

"I am going to Texas (unofficial visit) next. They are one of my top schools and I am looking forward to going there and see how it is. We have a very really good relationship.

LSU is another program that many mention when talking about Green's recruitment and he spoke about that interest as well.

"I talk to coach (Corey)  Raymond (defensive backs) every week or so and see what he is doing and how he is doing," Green said. "They are one of my top schools that I look forward to."

Green reports that he also made unofficial visits already to "Texas A&M, TCU, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma Sooners". He is not in a rush to hurry the process along. He is taking time formulating the Top 10 list and it does not seem he is in a rush to end it anytime soon either.

"I’m going to take it to the end," Green said before leaving a bit of a cliffhanger. "Probably."
