The Opening Atlanta: Who Got Open?

BUFORD, Ga. -- Scout takes a look at who got open at The Opening Atlanta Regional and punched their golden ticket to The Opening Finals in Oregon this summer.

The Opening Finals Invites

RB, Christian Turner, Buford (Ga.)

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Turner showed a great combination of speed and quickness. He was fluid in drills and caught the ball well in 7-on-7. From start to finish, the Buford standout was great.

WR, Justyn Ross, Phenix City (Ala.) Central

Ross was unstoppable all day.  At 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, he completely overwhelmed nearly every defensive back he faced with his size, strength and speed.

OG, Jamaree Salyer, Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy

In what seemed like an hour of one-on-ones, we could only identify one rep the 6-foot-3½, 327-pound Salyer lost. The five-star offensive guard showed why he is one of the premier prospects in the country.

OLB, J.J. Peterson, Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County

Peterson did everything at a very high level. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Peterson is a long, athletic playmaker, who showed great speed and was extremely physical. The Colquitt County star is already one of the best linebackers in the country and has a huge upside.

OLB, Channing Tindall, Columbia (S.C.) Spring Valley

Tindall has been one of the hottest players in the South over the past few months and after today, his stock will continue to rise. He showed great athleticism, explosiveness and playmaking ability.

S, Derrik Allen, Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter

The 6-foot-2, 206-pound Notre Dame commit showed great versatility, lining up at cornerback and safety. Allen was instinctive, physical and showed good ball skills.
