Lompoc (Calif.) running back Toa Taua has had a good spring so far.

The four-star earned RB MVP honors at The Opening Los Angeles regional and now his recruitment is starting to spark.

Taua has eight offers heading into April.

"They are from California, Iowa State, San Diego State, New Mexico State, Nevada, Washington State, Hawaii and San Jose State," said Taua.

And a few of those are standing out.

"I'm most interested in Cal, Iowa State, Washington State, Nevada and San Diego State," said Taua.

Taua's older brother, Vai Taua, played for Nevada under legendary coach Chris Ault, rushing for over 4,500 yards in his career with the Pack.

The youngest Taua, though, is in no rush to decide and plans to take a few official visits before making a decision.
