Trevor Keegan was part of a good group of class of 2019 offensive linemen at the United Stars Chicago Showcase on Saturday. Coming into the event, he held an offer from Northwestern, and on Tuesday, added his second offer, this one from Minnesota.
The Wildcats offered last summer, a moment Keegan will not forget.
"It was an amazing experience," he said. "I had no idea they could offer that early. I had no idea it would come so they surprised me with it, which was cool."
Keegan, who has started on varsity since his freshman year, has become increasingly familiar with the program in Evanston over the early part of his recruitment.
"I've been up there four times. I saw the new facility. It looks unreal. It is really breathtaking. The coaches are really chill and have a nice energy. I was a bowl practice and that was really cool."
The plan was to get to Minnesota this summer, but with a new offer from the Gophers, Keegan may move that up.
"I'm attempting to make it out this spring, but if it doesn't work out, probably before the season."
