Cummings (Ga.) West Forsyth offensive lineman Blake Anderson talks about his Virginia offer, the first of his recruitment.
West Forsyth offensive lineman Blake Anderson, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound mauler, says Virginia recently became his first offer of the process.
"It was crazy, it just came up out of the blue," he said. "He texted me and said give me a call and he called, so it just came out of blue. I haven't visited before but I plan to go during spring practice to see them."
Anderson, who was a top performer at recent events like the Elite Georgia Showcase and the United Stars Showcase, continues to hear from schools both near and far.
"Western Michigan, Michigan State, UCF, Iowa State are pretty heavy on me right now," he said. "I'm open to go anywhere for school with anybody who's interested."
Several in-state programs are recruiting him as well.
"Georgia Southern and Georgia State have talked to me. I haven't talked much to Georgia, but I'd like to and Georgia Tech, but I'll camp this summer at all those schools."
