Torres looking forward to camp season

Mishawaka (Ind.) Penn tight end Anthony Torres talks about his recent Iowa visit and other schools he may camp with this summer.

Tight end Anthony Torres was one of the top performers at the United Stars Chicago Showcase recently. A big-framed target, Torres holds offers from Bowling Green and Ball State with several other programs looking to continue their evaluation of him.

"I visited Iowa recently and then I'm looking to visit Cincinnati and Louisville soon. Iowa said they really want to see me at camp, see how well I can block, but they're pretty interested in me from what I heard."

Indiana had offered at one point and while contact remains, the offer status changed.

"I have talked to them, but they took my offer away because I don't fit their new scheme."

This summer, Torres will camp at several schools although the final list has not been decided yet.

"It is not for sure, but I'm thinking Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, Louisville, Minnesota, and North Carolina possibly."

Depending on what happens with those, a commitment could come after that, but Torres will make that call when it is best for him.

"Preferably I'd like to commit before senior year, but really just whatever works best for me. Honestly, I could commit halfway through senior year, but I'm looking to enroll early so I need to know at a good time."
