Antonio Gage, a 6-foot-0, 170-pound wide receiver from Dallas (Texas) James Madison had a great junior season on the field. He id a little bit of everything helping his team to an 8-3 record and a playoff appearance.
As a junior, Gage gained 1,703 total yards of offense and was responsible for 18 total touchdowns. He threw for 752 yards, eight TD's, and five INT's, while rushing for 741 yards and nine scores on more than seven yards per carry. He also caught nine passes for 201 yards and one touchdown.
"I bring a lot to the table," Gage said of his strengths as a prospect. "I feel like I can do anything."
As a receiver there is no doubt who he is looking up to for inspiration. While many receivers in the area pattern themselves after Dez Bryant Gage is looking to the other side of that rivalry and drawing inspiration from the game of Odell Beckham Jr..
"I pattern my game after Odell," Gage said. "I like his swag and he knows how to play the game."
Texas Tech stepped up to the plate and extended Gage an offer last week and the Red Raiders are going to factor into the mix for his signature, but there are also a couple of out of state P5 programs that have turned up the heat on his recruitment.
"Utah and Minnesota," Gage said when asked who was recruiting him the hardest. "They have both offered. Utah, I fit in with my speed. Utah I can probably go play slot. Minnesota is a good academic school and I can go in and play ad get some big-time plays."
Who could be next to offer the Dallas speedster?
