Georgia, Ohio State lead for Scout 100 DE Brenton Cox

BUFORD, Ga. -- Two schools have moved in front for four-star Stockbridge (Ga.) defensive end Brenton Cox and he spoke with Scout at The Opening Atlanta.

After receiving over 40 scholarship offers, two schools have moved to the top of Brenton Cox's list.

"My top two are Georgia and Ohio State," said the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Cox. "Those aren't necessarily my final two, but they're tied at the top right now."

Cox gave a quick thought on each program.

Georgia: "I really like that 3-4 defense," he said. "It's also an in-state school and close to my family. I stay in contact with the whole staff, too, and feel comfortable around them."

Ohio State: "I like the tradition and coach (Larry) Johnson is a good defensive line coach. Coach Johnson has told me he could develop me as a player and I know he's done that with a lot of guys."

When will he make his decision?

"I'm either going to commit before or after the season," Cox said. "It's going to come down to where I feel most at home."
