The Football Bloodlines Run Deep for 2019 CB Tiawan Mullen

BRADENTON, Fla. -- A handful of Power Five programs have already served up offers to 2019 defensive back, Tiawan Mullen, a cousin of Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Tiawan Mullen, the brother of Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen and a cousin of Louisville's Lamar Jackson, is now having his time in the spotlight with nine offers to select from.

Mullen, a 2019 cornerback hailing out of Coconut Creek (Fla.) High, is equipped with verbal offers from the likes of Mississippi StateKentuckyLouisville and Michigan State.

The 5-foot-10, 150-pound Mullen is a speedy cornerback who not only does a nice job of breaking on the ball for an interception, but also transforming into an offensive weapon. He recorded a flurry of interceptions in 2016, including a trio for touchdowns.

Mullen anticipates by exploding out of his back pedal, and also flashes impressive acceleration to close on the football. He has to continue to get bigger and stronger, but has no problem mixing it up with physicality. Mullen is a big play waiting to happen in the secondary.

Mullen talks about his offers from Kentucky and Louisville, what a Clemson offer would do to his recruitment, and more in the video at the top of the page.
