As the nation's number-eight outside linebacker, it's understandable that Dallas Gant would be the target of many national programs and that's just the case for the Toledo St. Johns four-star.
Gant is versatile enough to play any linebacker spot in either the 3-4 or 4-3 look, but it appears his future is on the outside where he can make plays in space.
Although he is getting closer to cutting down his list of schools, Gant has more than a few sticking out to him at this point in time.
"I want to visit Oklahoma, but nothing is planned yet," he added. "Michigan State has always been my dream school, so I still hold them highly. I've been to Ohio State and Notre Dame in the past few months."
"Notre Dame is obviously a great school with a lot of tradition, and I think they are really going to turn things around this season," he continued. "I'm going to Michigan this coming Sunday, and I'm excited to meet with the coaches and see everything."
Gant has a time frame in mind for making his decision, and it might not be too far away.
"I'd like to make my decision fairly soon, but nothing is planned as far as a date yet," Gant explained. "I want to be committed before my senior season, and not take official visits at all throughout the year."
Scout will continue to track Gant over the coming months, and will report any changes to his recruiting status.
