New Scout 300 prospect and Louisiana DB Joseph Foucha knows three programs who will make his cut

2017 has been good to Joseph Foucha both on the offer front and the evaluation front. Check out the latest on the four-star Louisiana defensive back inside.

New Orleans (La.) McDonough 35 defensive back Joseph Foucha has been busy of late. In between picking up scholarship offers, he has hit various competition events and has visits on the docket as well.

Texas Tech offered early in the process, but gets him back on campus this weekend. Before that point, the offer binge many of the top programs in the country came to him on was the constant story line.

"I've been getting offers every other week, so I want to start narrowing it down," he said. "AlabamaOregonOklahoma and TCU all offered me like back-to-back-to-back. But on May 17 I'm going to release out a top 10 after my spring game."

Newly minted into the Scout300, Foucha is familiar with half of the aforementioned programs at this point.

"With Alabama, I've known a lot about them. I got to talk and work with Nick Saban, he's a good DB coach and he taught me a lot at camp (last summer). I'll go back there for camp," he said. "I talked to the Oregon coaching staff, they like my highlight, they like me as a player. I'll try to make my way up there as well.

"I've been to TCU, it was nice up there. I got to chill with the coaches a lot, they treated me like it was home. I haven't gotten the chance to get up to Oklahoma yet, but I'm trying. I want to get up there with my coaches."

Foucha, who has picked up offers most recently from Baylor and Georgia Tech, has a bevy of options as he looks to continue to cut down his list ahead of a decision. That process is expected to be a long one, but the spring cut only has seven open spots remaining.

"For sure I have Oregon on the list, TCU on the list, and 'Bama," he said.

No matter which schools comprise the top 10 to come, a final trim and eventual commitment aren't likely before the New Year.

"Probably on signing day," Foucha said of a decision timeline.
