Sevyn Banks, a newly-minted four-star prospect and member of the Scout 300, recently penciled in a pair of visit dates for the springtime.
A junior at Orlando (Fla.) Jones who possesses roughly 20 scholarship offers, Banks checks in as the nation's 25th-ranked cornerback and 290th-ranked player overall on Scout.
Banks says it has been a collective effort from Urban Meyer's coaching staff, with multiple OSU coaches making themselves available on a daily basis.
"I'm very cool with Ohio State's staff," Banks said. "With (running backs) coach (Tony) Alford, (cornerbacks) coach (Kerry) Coombs and coach Urban Meyer, they all have a good relationship with me.
"I just can't wait to get up there for a visit on April 15 and get around them. It's just the fact of being around Urban Meyer, so that's going to be fun."
Banks is still getting accustomed to the Hokies' coaching staff and style of play, but hopes to take a step in the right direction when visiting Blacksburg roughly three weeks from now.
"V-Tech, I'm still in contact with (safeties) coach (Galen) Scott and getting to know them," Banks said. "They really love me as a player and a person, and I'll get to visit up there soon to see what's up."
