Julian Barnett adds new offers, shines at DB & WR

Belleville (Mich.) 2019 wide receiver Julian Barnett picked up several new SEC offers recently. He also had a great Opening Regional in Chicago and he did it on both sides of the ball.

Julian Barnett was one of the few players to play both sides of the ball at Sunday's Opening Regional in Chicago. The class of 2019 prospect not only did it, he did it very well, intercepting passes and breaking them up on defense and showing the skills at wide receiver that have earned him an early four-star rating.

His offer list has continued to grow. Iowa offered this week and Auburn and Georgia offered recently. Those schools love his versatility.

"They said whatever side of the ball I want to play and I said I just want to play," Barnett said.

The Tigers and Bulldogs were part of a southern trip which also included Alabama and he was able to see a lot at each program.

"I loved it because I got to see new places. Auburn is competitive, up-tempo, everything they do is on the hop. I loved it. Georiga, I really liked the campus. I like the coaches. They were talking to me for a real long time. The receiver coach said they have a point system with catching balls and dropped balls and whoever gets the most points gets to start."

Barnett visited Iowa and Iowa State on Monday then Oklahoma and Oklahoma State wth his teammates.
