Despite recently snagging an invite to the 2018 Under Armour All-America Game, cornerback Chandler Jones remains under-recruited with just a handful of offers on the table.
"I don't have a top school as of yet; I'm open to most schools," Jones said. "I'm taking my time to find the best fit for my talents. I feel once the spring season is over and the schools see me in person, my list will be more defined."
"MSU is an SEC school, which I love the most," Jones said. "I feel like my talents are SEC or ACC caliber, but like I said, I'm open-minded.
Hail State's recruiting ace in South Florida, Terrell Buckley, is the staff member putting forth the effort and communicating with Jones.
"I know the DBs coach, Terrell Buckley, is a Florida guy that respects the talent in South Florida," Jones said. "As a player, he was a great ball-hawking cornerback who had a lot of pick-sixes.
"I see a lot of similarities in my game."
The 5-foot-10, 173-pound Jones is also ready to journey up to Orlando for this weekend's junior day at UCF.
"I really like what coach Scott Frost and the staff are doing at UCF," Jones said. "The DBs coach, Travis Fisher, liked me as a 10th grader.
"The defensive system is very similar to what we do at Miami Central."
