Oregon, Syracuse and South Florida are the initial offers for 2019 outside linebacker, Jahmar Brown, who registered 86 tackles, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 2016.
"I would say my athleticism (is my biggest attribute)," Brown said. "I play full speed from sideline-to-sideline, and also how smart of a player I am.
"I study and do a lot of homework on opposing teams so I can have a jump on them. I feel colleges like those two attributes the most."
The Miami (Fla.) Monsignor Pace star is nearly two years away from walking across the stage with his high school diploma, but is already comfortable enough to dish out a front-runner in his recruitment.
"If I had to choose, Oregon would be at the top," Brown said. "They were a childhood favorite. As a kid, I used to love Oregon and it has only transitioned into now. I love their scheme.
"I feel like I could fit into their scheme as far as linebackers go because all their linebackers are pretty fast. I feel as if I could fit into that pretty well. I was beyond excited and couldn't stop smiling; (the offer) left me pretty speechless."
The 6-foot-1, 186-pound Brown needs to familiarize himself with the Syracuse Orange, but is flirting with the idea of taking it a step further by visiting as soon as this spring.
"I actually don't know much about Syracuse," Brown said. "I have people like my parents who tell me how good they used to be, and how their defenses are always pretty sound, but I don't know much.
"I actually would love to take a visit up there this spring."
