Michigan State Offer Puts Them On Top For 3-Star LB Ed Warinner

A recent visit and subsequent offer by Michigan State has put the Spartans in the lead to land three-star linebacker Ed Warinner.

Hard hitting linebacker Edward Warinner landed an offer from Michigan State recently, and that has moved the Spartans to the top of the three-star recruit's list.

Warinner, the son of Minnesota offensive line coach Ed Warinner, played last year for Olentangy (OH) Liberty. He missed part of his junior season with a knee injury that is now healed.

"I was at Michigan State for practice and it was great," Warinner stated. "I was offered by Coach (Mark) Dantonio, and that was very exciting for me."

"I have to say Michigan State is a great place, and now at the top for me," he added. "Things went really well for me there, and getting the offer from Coach Dantonio at practice made it special."

"They said they see me as one of their inside guys, either at the Mike or Will spot," he continued. "They see me as an instinctual player that makes plays, and a great player. I'm definitely planning on committing before my senior season."

In addition to Michigan State, Warinner also holds offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Rutgers, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and others.
