The 6-foot-1, 209-pound standout from Richland High School near Fort Worth emerged this semester as one of the top outside linebacker prospects in the state of Texas' 2018 class. White owns offers from Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas A&M, UCLA, and Houston, plus several other FBS programs.
"I liked it a lot," he said of his Texas visit. "They will be really good in the years to come with (Tom) Herman and (Todd) Orlando. There's something special going on there."
White said the defensive unit impressed him during the visit.
"Good seeing that defense move the way it did," he said. "Intense."
White said he enjoyed 1-on-1 time with Herman and Orlando. He added that the coaches told him they are still examining him as a prospect.
"Orlando told me I'm still in evaluation," White said, "and that he will have a yes or no if they'll offer me near the end of the month.
"They are on the top end of my schools."
White, who will visit Oklahoma State this coming weekend, said he has not yet made concrete plans to return to Austin for another visit, but has an idea when he will make it back to the Forty Acres.
"They've got something going after all their new facilities are built in June," he said. "I'll try and make that for sure."
In the meantime, White said he will work on his game as he prepares for his senior season with Richland High.
"Maintaining speed while I gain weight, being more explosive, block-shedding," White said, "and becoming an even better leader for my team."
