Cameron Jonas, a product of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer, says a school representing the ACC is leading the way for his services in the back end of the secondary.
"Florida State is at the top right now," Jonas said. "I just like the program itself and how bad they want me, too.
"I like the players they've developed over the years, and what the program does for them."
It was just five days ago when coach Gus Malzahn and Auburn came calling with an offer of their own.
Jonas, who is also tagged as the nation's 60th-ranked safety, has to continue to educate himself on the Tigers' football program, but says the message from the staff was sweet and straight to the point.
"I think that they have a good program," Jonas said. "I don't know much, but am very eager to find out more about them.
"I spoke to (defensive backs) coach Greg Brown, and he told me that they want me bad and are looking forward to seeing me up in Auburn."
Jonas, who plans to reveal his college selection over the summertime, has no visits planned at this time.
