Front-Runner Emerges for South's No. 37 Safety Arthur Brathwaite

Possessing just over a half-dozen offers, 2018 three-star safety Arthur Brathwaite says one suitor is sitting out front in his recruitment.

Pad-popping defensive back and three-star prospect, Arthur Brathwaite, recently transferred into Miami Central and now the offers are starting to pour in as well.

In fact, Brathwaite, the 36th-ranked safety in the South, is already comfortable enough to dish out a front-runner to land his services in the back end of the defense.

"I would say Western Kentucky is my top school right now," Brathwaite said. "I feel like I fit in with the defensive schemes because we'll be running something similar in our defense this year.

"Plus, me and the coaching staff are building a closer relationship. I'm getting to know a little bit more about the coaching staff every day."

The 6-foot, 190-pound Brathwaite is equipped with a half-dozen additional offers, including one at the Power Five level from coach Dan Mullen and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

"Mississippi State is a great school," Brathwaite said. "(Safeties) coach T-Buck (Terrell Buckley) is a great coach and we talk a lot. Our relationship is growing as well.

"He's just been telling me I'll be a good addition to their secondary and he loves the way I play. He's telling me to keep working to get bigger, faster and stronger."

Brathwaite, who checks in as the 18th-ranked safety in the Sunshine State, has no visits scheduled at this time.
