Dallas Gant (Scout)

Gant talks final visits, Irish included

Dallas Gant spoke to Scout.com at The Opening Regional this weekend, detailing his final moves before a planned verbal commitment announcement on May 16. Notre Dame will get Gant back to South Bend soon.

Even though his May 16 decision date is only a month away, four-star linebacker Dallas Gant is still doing his research on the schools he is still considering.

Gant has at least two visits planned before his decision date, and only one of those trips is currently on his schedule.

"I want to make my decision and then concentrate on winning games for my team," Gant stated. "I am going to either Ohio State or Michigan for their spring game, and they are on the same day so I need to figure that out. Right now, it looks like it's going to be Michigan."

"I am going to Notre Dame on the 22nd for their spring game," he added. "I'm not sure if I would go back to Ohio State if I go to Michigan this week, but there's a chance I could do that."

The Toledo (OH) St. Johns star knows he is facing a tough decision.

"I'm just looking at the comfortability factor in making this decision," Gant explained. "I'm looking to go to the place where I feel most at home."

"Obviously all these schools have good athletic programs, and have good academics as well, so picking one is really hard," he admitted.

Scout will continue to track Gant up to his decision day and beyond.
