"Down to earth" Michigan impresses 2019 DT Jacob Lacey

Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren class of 2019 defensive tackle Jacob Lacey talks about his visit to Michigan, a trip which produced his latest offer.

Michigan became the latest school to offer defensive tackle Jacob Lacey when he visited Ann Arbor on Thursday. The Wolverines now join Notre Dame, Tennessee, Penn State and other offers on his list.

"Coach Harbaugh was just cool and down to earth," Lacey sayd. "He was splitting apple fritters with my dad. I spoke with his dad too. Coach Mattison is a straight shooter and let me know where I would fit in , same with Coach Brown."

Lacey got to observe practice and came away impressed.

"I really liked the culture, the relationship between coaches and players," he said. "The players went hard on every play at practice, encouraged one another and the coaches didn't have to yell but they taught on every play."

The offers continue to pour in and with two years left to make a decision, Lacey is not in a hurry to narrow anything down. However, he admitted Michigan made an impression.

"I don't really have a list yet but Michigan would be near the top," he said. "I really liked my day."
