Central Florida Comes Calling for 6-foot-5 Pass Catcher Jalen Jordan

A mismatch nightmare on the offensive side of the ball, receiver Jalen Jordan knows when he wants to pull himself off the recruiting market by committing to a college.

Equipped with an intriguing combination of size and speed at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, wide receiver Jalen Jordan is brimming with long-term potential and colleges are certainly taking notice.

Jordan, a 2018 prospect who is teamed up with the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, is also less than 24 hours removed from scooping up an offer from UCF, his initial offer from a school residing in the Sunshine State.

"I'm really happy about this offer," Jordan said. "I know that it's a very large school with over 60,000 students. They also have a great staff that has a winning background."

The introductory message from Scott Frost's coaching staff was simple and straight to the point.

"I spoke to (running backs) coach (Ryan) Held," Jordan said. "He told me they love my size and speed, and wanted to extend an offer to play football at UCF."

Jordan, who has reeled in additional offers from the likes of Boston College and Georgia Tech, is not ready to serve up a front-runner in his recruitment, but does have a timeline for his college decision.

"I don't have a top school yet, but I do plan on committing before my senior year starts," Jordan said. "I'm an early enrollee, so I need to know where I'm going sooner rather than later."

Jordan has no visits scheduled at this time.
