"Washington State," Hallett answered when asked who offered.

"This offer means a lot because it is my first Power Five offer. It also means that someone believes that I have the potential to play college football at the highest level, which is a dream of mine."

"I wasn't expecting it, but I have been talking with Coach (Alex) Grinch and Coach (Alex) Hippe for a couple of weeks," Hallett continued about his WSU offer. "I started checking out the program once we started communicating and it looks like a program on the rise and a great academic school."

In addition to WSU Hallett also has an offers from Nevada and Massachusetts and a number of schools in the Ivy League programs such as Columbia, Dartmouth, and Yale.

The Scout three-star prospect, who captured DB MVP honors at The Opening New Orleans, is catching a lot of interest from other programs right now as well.

"Notre Dame, Texas State, UTSA, Oklahoma State, Louisiana Tech, Houston," said Hallett who also recently took an unofficial visit to Louisiana-Lafayette.

"What stood out to me (at ULL) was how the coaches interacted with the players. It seemed like they genuinely cared about the players and you could see how the players believe in them and are buying into the program. I also enjoyed touring their facilities."

As a junior, Hallett II collected 29 tackles, four interceptions, 14 pass break ups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery to earn First Team 17-6A All-District honors. He was also an academic All-District selection.

"My biggest strengths are my speed, quickness, and football IQ," Hallett said. "I have very good speed and quick enough change of direction to make plays on the ball. I also have the ability to read and diagnose plays very quickly."

Hallett has unofficial trips set up with Texas State (4/15) and Notre Dame (4/22).
