Scout looks back at Auburn offensive line commitment Jalil Irvin's performance at The Opening Atlanta

BUFORD, Ga. -- Scout takes a closer look at Auburn offensive line commitment Jalil Irvin from The Opening Atlanta last month.

Evaluation Notes: Three-star Peach State prospect Jalil Irvin looked the part and gave onlookers a great sample size of his ability late last month at The Opening Atlanta, where he worked to compete and gain more reps than most offensive linemen at the stacked event. He was successful when challenged laterally, something Irvin combats with good feet and long arms. He gets to his extension early in the rep and tries to run off pass rushers from there. When he wasn't as successful was against power moves once his arms locked out. Shorter, wider opponents got him off balance at times, although he recovered quite well thereafter. Irvin is a mobile offensive lineman who took snaps as a center and at each guard spot during the event, looking comfortable at each of the three interior offensive line positions. With the versatility, long arms and above-average footwork, there is considerable upside with his game at the next level.

Recruiting Notes: Irvin has been committed to the Auburn Tigers for just over one month.
