Steven Faucheux Talks Ohio State, Recruitment

Steven Faucheux, a 2019 defensive end from West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West, met up with Scout to update his status with Ohio State and other schools targeting him.

One of the more impressive 2019 prospects in the state of Ohio is Lakota West defensive end Steven Faucheux, and he is coming off a great sophomore season.

Faucheux was limited by a wrist injury at last weekend's Opening Regional in Cleveland, but the size, quick feet and overall athleticism was easy to spot.

Even though he has two years of high school remaining, Faucheux already holds a double digit offer list that includes several Power Five programs. He holds offers from IndianaKentuckyLouisvilleMaryland, and others.

"I've recently two schools, Penn State and Ohio State, and although neither have offered yet, I know both schools are going to recruit me," Faucheux stated. "Penn State was a great time, and it's a great school. I loved talking to the coaches, and I'm being recruited by (assistant coach) Tim Banks."

"I liked the academic side of Penn State a lot," he added. "Ohio State told me they're going to be recruiting me hard going forward, and they said they recruit the top-ten players in the country at each position. They want me to come back to campus this spring or in the summer, to get to know the coaches better."

"I'm keeping all my options open as far as the schools that have offered so far, and I don't have any favorites among them at all," he continued. "For me, the key factor in me picking a school will be academics and finding a place that has a family atmosphere. I want to major in finance and minor in marketing."

Scout will continue to track Faucheux over the next two years, and we expect more offers will be coming his way.
