3-Star Chase Kline Is An Under Recruited LB In Ohio

BEREA, Ohio -- Linebacker Chase Kline was one of the top performers at his position group last weekend at the Cleveland Opening Regional. He has great size and can run to the football.

After seeing linebacker Chase Kline play last year and then watching him go through drills at last weekend's Cleveland Opening Regional, he has to be one of the more under recruited prospects in Ohio for 2018.

Although he holds a handful of offers at this time, Kline has the size, quickness and intelligence to attract even more.

"I was offered by Ohio University last week, and that was my third Division-I offer," Kline said. "I have also been offered by Iowa State and Syracuse. I would say all these schools are even to me."

"I haven't made any visits yet, because I've been focused on speed training and getting better," he added. "I'm looking at a lot of summer camps, but I don't have anything scheduled right now. I'm in no hurry to decide, so the plan is to take visits as a senior."

"One school I'm thinking about visiting for camp is Stanford, and we might turn that into a vacation," he continued. "Every coach that's recruiting me has talked about me playing middle linebacker, but I could play defensive end. I just love to play football."

Scout will continue to track Kline over the coming months, and will report on any new offers he receives.
