New Ohio State OT commit Max Wray is the total package

Four-star Franklin (Tenn.) offensive tackle Max Wray committed to Ohio State on Saturday, and Scout takes a look at what the Buckeyes are getting, and how he fits into their 2018 recruiting class.

Ohio State secured a huge commitment from Scout 100 offensive tackle Max Wray on Saturday morning.

Rated: He is a four-star prospect, fourth-ranked offensive guard in the South, No. 7 in the country and the 57th-ranked overall prospect.

Scouting Report: Wray has everything you are looking for in an offensive tackle.

He has great length and is extremely athletic. When it comes to technique, he is much more advanced than most high school offensive linemen

Wray gets off the ball quickly, moves fluidly and has a good initial punch. He has great feet and plays with tremendous balance. Once he gets his hands on the defender, he takes control. He plays with good leverage and does a great job finishing his blocks.

Like all prospects there are areas he can improve. He needs to continue to add weight and get stronger, but neither is a major issue.

He will gain weight in strength before he enrolls at Ohio State, and once he gets into their strength and conditioning program, the sky is the limit.

Final Thought: Wray is a huge addition to Ohio State's recruiting class. Not only is he one of the top offensive tackles in the country, but one of the premier overall players.

He also helps address a position of need for the Buckeyes. Offensive line is a big focus in this recruiting cycle for Ohio State, especially offensive tackle.

Another thing to consider is that almost everyone assumed Wray would end up in the SEC, so Urban Meyer and his staff deserve a lot of credit.

Lastly, Wray is obviously already a big-time prospect, but he has a huge upside and chance to develop into a special football player.

If he stays healthy and continues to progress, he will have a chance to become an anchor for Ohio State's offensive line and ultimately play on Sundays.
