Analysis: Gophers continue GA success with OT Uzebu

Minnesota has done very well in Georgia this year and their success continued with offensive tackle Oyenmwen Uzebu. Scout breaks him down here.

Oyenmwen Uzebu gave Minnesota their tenth commitment in the 2018 class and fourth from the state of Georgia.

Uzebu is a massive kid at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds. He shows athleticism and comfort in space. He can still improve explosion and consistent pad level, but those are things that will come as he gets coached in college and gets into a strength and conditioning program at that level.

He finishes his blocks, and when asked to move and get into the second level, he shows the ability to do that. He has the feet and natural athletic skills to be effective in pass protection and his size and length helps with that too, he just has to continue polishing his technique there.

Overall, we see him as a high upside guy, but one that will need some time. He has size and good tools as a young prospect.
