Florida-Based 2018 CB Jeremy Trebbles Dishes out Top Two Schools

Two schools are distancing themselves in the recruitment of 2018 Venice (Fla.) cornerback, Jeremy Trebbles II.

Boston College and East Carolina are the front-runners for Jeremy Trebbles II, a junior defensive back at Venice (Fla.) High who has accumulated offers from roughly a half-dozen colleges.

Trebbles, who is also garnering significant interest from Illinois and Rutgers, says having the opportunity to showcase his worth for a Power Five program like Boston College is a milestone he has been working towards.

"To have the opportunity to play in the ACC would be amazing," Trebbles said. "I'm a competitor, so going up against the great talent this conference holds would be ideal.

"I also know that BC has a great business school, and that is important to me."

The 5-foot-10.5, 175-pound Trebbles recently made the journey up to Greenville, North Carolina to get a better feel for what life would be like as an ECU Pirate.

"I was able to attend the junior day at ECU," Trebbles said. "The vibe on that campus was really good. The coaches are building a great program and I could see myself contributing early there."

If all goes as planned, Trebbles will be settling into a college dorm room well before the majority of his classmates at Venice High.

"After spring, I will have all my classes done, so I may leave a semester early," Trebbles said.

Trebbles is visiting Florida Atlantic on April 22, and Illinois on June 16.
