Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd offensive lineman Miles Owens took a trip down to Southern California late last week.
It gave the three-star a chance to check out UCLA, one of the offers standing out to Owens.
"It was a lot of fun," said Owens. "I got there the day before and I got to relax a little."
Owens then spent Saturday at practice and got to spend a lot of time with the Bruin coaches.
"A couple of the player personnel coaches greeted me and then later, I got to talk with Coach (Hank) Fraley and Coach Angus (McClure)," said Owens.
McClure recruits the Bay Area and Fraley is recruiting offensive linemen and the two are recruiting Owens together.
Owens said the campus impressed him.
"What stood out the most to me was probably the campus," said Owens. "The buildings really stood out to me. And the weather was great. It looked really nice there."
"I'm not sure where I will visit next, but I will try to get out to the schools that have offered me," said Owens. "I've been impressed by all of my visits so far. I'm just humbled to be blessed with so many good options."
A few other schools have reached out to Owens and with a loaded O'Dowd squad, a number of coaches are expected to drop by during the evaluation period.
Owens said he's weighing options on which camps he'll attend with his family and coaches.
He's also not set on any time frame to make a decision.
"I don't have a time frame in mind at this point," said Owens. "I'm just going to continue to work hard to get better and keep an open mind about the opportunities I have."
