Springfield (OH) defensive end Leonard Taylor has been impressing since starting as a freshman, and he is now one of the top overall prospects in the Midwest.
Even though he holds several offers, Taylor is not focused on recruiting at this time. He was committed to Michigan a year ago, but later backed away from that pledge.
"I'm taking things really slow, to be honest," Taylor stated. "I want to wait and see what offers I have after spring, and then go from there with checking out the individual schools."
"I will be taking all five official visits in the fall, and then deciding later in the year," he added. "I would say no schools are sticking out to me now, and I'm interested in all of them."
"I'm still breaking everyone down to find the ones I'm most interested in," he said. "I'm hearing from schools like Texas, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Clemson and USC. I have to see if any of them go ahead and offer."
Taylor is working on his conditioning right now, and is poised to have a big senior season.
"I played basketball this year to help with my conditioning and keep my weight down," he explained. "Right now, I'm 6-foot-6, 245-pounds, and that's a good weight for me."
"Now that spring is here I'm in the weight room looking get stronger," he continued. "As a senior, I'm going to have to be more of a leader this year. I'm going to be playing all over the field this year, at tight end, quarterback and defensive end."
