Scout 300 CB Sevyn Banks Taken Aback Inside the Horseshoe at Ohio State

Sevyn Banks, a highly-coveted 2018 cornerback from Florida, packed his bags and journeyed up for Ohio State's spring game, and breaks it down with Scout.

A flurry of Sunshine State natives had a front-row seat for Ohio State's spring game festivities inside the Horseshoe, with one being Sevyn Banks, a Scout 300 cornerback.

The four-star prospect was taken aback by the fandom from those rooting on the scarlet and gray, and now has the itch to slide the pads back on after getting a taste of all the action in Columbus.

"The crowd and atmosphere was great," Banks said. "Having over 80,000 fans there for just a spring game was crazy. I know some colleges can't even fit that many, but that atmosphere was good.

"Everybody loves the game and is ready for the season to start, including me."

Banks is in no hurry to serve up a front-runner in his recruitment, but says the Buckeyes certainly elevated their chances after providing red carpet treatment over the weekend.

"He (Urban Meyer) is the coolest legend ever," Banks said. "They really like me and want me, so I'm interested and they're higher on the board as of right now.

"The visit went good. I don't have a No. 1 (school) yet, but they're up there."

Banks says there was no beating around the bush when kicking back and having that face time with coach Urban Meyer's staff.

"The coaching staff honestly tells you how it is there," Banks said. "They are very blunt and very genuine at the same time if that makes sense."

Banks, the 14th-ranked cornerback in the South, was slated to visit Virginia Tech this weekend, but says that is no longer the case.

Stay tuned to Scout for the latest developments in Banks' recruitment.
