Building off last year's exciting season, Penn State recruiting has taken off this year with the Nittany Lions currently holding the number-two spot nationally.
Offensive tackle Darian Kinnard has been adding offers weekly, and Monday evening he learned that Penn State was throwing their hat into the mix to land him.
"I was offered by Penn State. We have been talking lately, so I kind of knew it was coming," KInnard stated. "It's a really big offer to me, and I'm excited to have it. They have been interested in me for a while, and once they got my transcript it moved things along."
"I've never been there, but I'm planning on going there on May 20 for a cookout they're having," he added. "It sounds like a cool situation, with a bunch of recruits going to be there. I'm definitely interested in them."
"I'm still open to everyone and Penn State fits with all the other schools that offered, especially with the big season they had last year," he continued. "I'm still in the process of learning about all these schools, but I know Penn State is a great school and one I want to see for myself."
In addition to Penn State, Kinnard holds offers from the likes of Boston College, Indiana, Minnesota, UCLA, and others.
