Concord (Calif.) De La Salle 2019 defensive lineman Gunnar Rask has visited a number of schools during the spring.
The trip started at UCLA.
"I loved UCLA, it was a great campus and they have a great coaching staff," said Rask.
In fact, the attention from the coaches wasn't lost on Rask.
"What stood out was how much love we received from the school's coaching staff," said Rask. "We got a lot of love from Coach (Angus) McClure. We also met with Coach (Jim) Mora and Coach (Scott) White."
"It's always great seeing Boss and Devin and we ended up having dinner with Boss and my teammates," said Rask.
While Rask didn't get an offer, he had good dialogue with UCLA.
"The visit was more them showing us the school and practice and what they expect from us in the future," said Rask.
From there, Rask went over to USC to round out the weekend.
"USC was great," said Rask. "It's an impressive school with a great history in the game."
Much of Rask's time was spent with USC defensive line coach Kenechi Udeze.
"Coach Udeze was a very impactful and impressive individual to meet and interact with," said Rask. "I met with him, Coach (Clay) Helton and Coach (Johnny) Nansen."
The Trojans didn't offer but will keep Rask on their radar.
"It was more showing us the school and what to expect," said Rask.
This weekend, Rask will visit Colorado.
