ACC, Big Ten and Big 12 programs recruiting WR Jadakis Bonds

Williamston (N.C.) Riverside wide receiver Jadakis Bonds is one of the top sleeper wide receiver prospects in the state and he spoke with Scout about the latest developments in his recruitment.

Jadakis Bonds had a breakout season last fall and his recruitment is beginning to pick up steam.

West Virginia was the latest school to offer.

"The offer from West Virginia is big," said the 6-foot-4, 175-pound Bonds, who also holds an offer from East Carolina. "I really like the coaching staff and the way they do things.  It's a great program and I'm looking forward to learning more about them.

"I'm trying hard to get up there soon -- probably this summer. I want to learn more about the school's academics, tour the campus, get a feel for the school and get to know the coaching staff better.

"I've talked to coach (Dana) Holgorsen most. He's been the primary coach recruiting me and it definitely means a lot. He's straightforward and honest. He's also a great coach and he's done a great job there."

Besides the schools that offered, NC StateWake ForestNorth Carolina and Maryland are some of the others showing significant interest.

Bonds' next visit could be to Maryland.

"That's a school I'd really like to visit," Bonds said. "They're in the Big Ten and they have a good coaching staff. I know it's also a good school academically.

"(Tight ends) coach (Pete) Lembo is recruiting me and he always stays in touch. He's told me they're very interested. We've built a good relationship and I can talk to him about anything. If they offered, it would be big."

Bonds hopes to make his commitment before the start of the season.
