3-Star TE Keaton Upshaw On The Recruiting Radar

The state of Ohio is loaded at the tight end position for the class of 2018, and Keaton Upshaw is one of the highest rated of the group. He already holds a handful of offers.

College coaches talk often about the "eye test" when it comes to evaluating high school football players, and that's a test Keaton Upshaw passes with ease at 6-foot-6, 225-pounds.

Upshaw already holds seven offers, and more could be headed his way as coaches are able to see him in person during the current evaluation phase.

"I believe most of the schools see me as a tight end, but I think I can play wide receiver also," Upshaw stated. "I would say West VirginiaPittsburgh and Purdue are sticking out to me right now."

"I really think Coach (Jeff) Brohm is going to do great things at Purdue, and it's going to be a special program," he added. "West Virginia and Pitt are also great programs, and I could see myself at any of them, to be honest."

Several other schools are showing interest in Upshaw, and he is looking at all of his options.

"I've also heard from RutgersDuke, Cincinnati and Kentucky, and I would love to have offers from any of them," Upshaw said. "My favorite school is Michigan, but I have not heard from them yet."

"I'm really enjoying the recruiting process," he explained. "I've talked to my mom about things, and she just wants me to take things slow. Once I commit, I want that to be over and done."
