North Carolina in front for three-star OL Kavesz Sherard

Anderson (S.C.) T.L. Hanna offensive tackle Kavesz Sherard is one of the most sought-after prospects in the state and spoke with Scout about his recruitment.

Kavesz Sherard is one of the top prospects in South Carolina.

One school has moved to the top of the T.L. Hanna standout's list.

"My top school right now would have to be North Carolina," said the 6-foot-4, 297-pound Sherard. "I liked it a lot when I visited last year and I'm eager to get back.

"I've been talking to (wide receivers) coach (Gunter) Brewer a lot. He is extremely nice and cares about and is committed to his players and the program.

"That's actually the next school  I plan to visit and it will probably be sometime this spring. I'd like to take a tour of the campus and have a chance to speak with each coach."

Sherard said Kentucky and Virginia Tech are also showing a lot of interest. Besides the aforementioned schools, he holds offers from ClemsonDukeNC StateSouth Carolina and Tennessee among others.

Along with North Carolina, he plans to get to Virginia Tech in the near future.

When will he make his commitment and what is he looking for at the next level?

"I'm not sure when I'll make my decision," Sherard said. "I'm looking for a place where I can be happy and healthy and achieve all my goals."
