Sebastian Sainterling is taking a patient approach when it comes to dishing out leaders, but certainly has connections in place with a flurry of teammates already committed to schools.
The nation's 40th-ranked offensive guard, who is closing in on double-digit offers, is also roughly 48 hours removed from earning an offer from coach Charlie Strong and the South Florida Bulls.
"USF, I have a good connection with (offensive line) coach (Matt) Mattox," Sainterling said. "We have a conversation, like every day."
Sainterling, who possesses additional offers from Kentucky, Auburn, Missouri and Mississippi State among others, straps up the pads for talent-rich Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna, who already have four juniors committed to SEC schools.
One of those highly-regarded recruits in Shaun Shivers, an Auburn commit who is equipped with game-changing speed in the offensive backfield.
"I've never been to Auburn, but I'd like to visit soon," Sainterling said. "The relationship I have with (offensive line) coach (Herb) Hand is very natural. We have conversations here and there.
"Having Shaun committed there does help, but I want to go to a school that fits me. The program at Auburn is very elite. They make sure their players are in the best condition they can be in so they can perform to the best of their ability."
Coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats are no strangers to the Sunshine State, and recently signed two of Chaminade-Madonna's seniors as well.
"Kentucky, I would also like to take a visit there soon," Sainterling said. "The two teammates I have committed there try to persuade me to go there, but I want to go to a school that fits me the best."
Sainterling has no visits scheduled at this time.
