Iowa "up there" for newly offered WR Taj Mustapha

West Bloomfield (Mich.) WR Taj Mustapha talks about his recent visit to Iowa, which produced his second Big Ten offer.

On Friday, West Bloomfield wide receiver Taj Mustapha visited the Iowa Hawkeyes and came away with his 12th offer and second from the Big Ten (with Purdue as the first).

Mustapha was there for the Hawkeyes' spring game and was impressed with what he saw.

"I really like the whole deal up there," he said. "They have a nice campus, coaches and everything. It was real nice turnout for it being a spring game. It was really nice."

Iowa has had success in Michigan with players like Desmond King, Carl Davis, Cedrick Lattimore, Chauncey Golston, Alaric Jackson and more coming to Iowa City from there.

Mustapha said, "I haven't had a chance to talk to those guys yet," but hopes to connect with some of them at some point.

SyracuseNorthern Illinois and Toledo are among the other schools who have offered that he has visited. At this point, he is not ready to name any leaders yet.

"I like all the schools I've been to," he said. "I like some better than others but Iowa is pretty up there."

Mustapha does not have a timeline for a commitment.
