CLIFTON, Va. -- Alexandria (Va.) Episcopal defensive tackle Tola Banjoko is one of the top defensive linemen in the East and spoke with Scout about his recruitment at The Opening Washington, D.C.

Tola Banjoko's recruitment continues to pick up steam.

He has a tentative time frame for his decision.

"I'm planning to narrow things down this summer and I want to make my commitment before my senior season," Banjoko said.  "WisconsinNorth CarolinaNC StateGeorgia and Vanderbilt have been showing the most interest."

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Banjoko's most recent offer was Wake Forest.

"It's a great academic school and it's not far from Episcopal," Banjoko said. "I haven't visited yet, but definitely plan to take a trip soon.

"I've been talking to (offensive line) coach (Nick) Tabacca. He's a good guy and I like him a lot. He always stays in touch and wants to know how I'm doing. He's told me it's a great school and that I could have a chance to compete for early playing time."

He also wants to visit NC State soon.

"I like that it's kind of close and I have family in North Carolina," Banjoko said. "It's also a good school and I'm interested to learn more about it.

"(Cornerbacks) coach (George) Barlow is recruiting me. He's a good guy and we're both from Chicago, so we have that in common. He's told me a lot about the school and football program, so I'm ready to get down there and see everything."
