Penn State Visit Impresses LB Brian Asamoah

Ohio linebacker Brian Asamoah is a wanted man in recruiting circles, and he is in the process of finding the right school after backing off an earlier commitment date. Asamoah visited Penn State last weekend.

One of the top outside linebacker prospects in the Midwest is Columbus DeSales three-star Brian Asamoah, and he holds an ultra impressive offer list.

Asamoah, who has opened his recruitment back up after earlier issuing a top-six list, is taking things slower right now as he attempts to find the right school.

He was in Happy Valley last weekend to check out the Penn State program. Asamoah came away impressed by what he saw.

"My trip to Penn State for the spring game was amazing," Asamoah stated. "The atmosphere was great and I love their fan base with how they support the football program. It was good seeing what an actual game would be like there."

"I was able to sit down with Coach (James) Franklin and the staff, and they showed me just how much they want me," he added. "They told me about the future at Penn State, and how I fit in as a piece of the puzzle for them. It was good seeing the current players, as well as their recruits. Jesse Lukata has been recruiting me big time."

"Everything stood out to me, and I'm very interested in Penn State," he continued. "They're very high up there for me. I really like the coaching staff, and the potential of being a really good team going into the next few years. I still have more visits to take, and I don't have a commitment date in mind."

Asamoah noted that he will be visiting Cincinnati this coming weekend, and he is hoping to visit Pittsburgh, UCLA and Oklahoma in the coming months.
