Tampa-Based 2018 RB Andrew Cunningham Scoops up 'Huge' SEC Offer From the LSU Tigers

Offer No. 45 has arrived for the South's 36th-ranked running back and Sunshine State native, Andrew Cunningham.

The offers are pouring in at a rapid rate for the nation's 86th-ranked tailback, Andrew Cunningham, who possesses 45 offers after receiving word from the LSU Tigers on Monday evening.

Cunningham, who straps up the pads for Tampa (Fla.) Cambridge Christian, is armed with a scholarship offer sheet featuring the likes of South CarolinaOregonUtahKentucky and Oklahoma State.

"The offer is a huge one. (Running backs) coach (Tommie) Robinson offered me," Cunningham said. "I know it's a top program in the SEC, and I like how they play against the best in the SEC.

Cunningham, who measures in at 6-foot, 220 pounds, says his latest opportunity out of the SEC is one that did not necessarily come out of the blue.

"He first asked me how I felt about LSU and I told him, and then he said, 'We need a guy to come carry the load with us.'

"We've just been talking and he told me I had an offer. We've been talking for about a good month now."

No dates are locked in on the calendar, but in addition to LSU, Cunningham says he is likely making a summer trip up to the Midwest to get a taste of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

"Great school, Big Ten football, and also great coaches," Cunningham said. "I honestly think they are about to start something special, especially with (them having) one of the top recruiting classes in the 2018 class.

"They're definitely on the come up."

Cunningham, who is fresh off visits to IndianaLouisville and Purdue, has no leaders in his recruitment.
