Four-star QB Devin Leary looking forward to future at NC State

CLIFTON, Va. -- Sicklerville (N.J.) Timber Creek quarterback and NC State commit Devin Leary earned quarterback MVP honors at the Washington, D.C. Opening last weekend and spoke with Scout following event.

Evaluation: Devin Leary, the top quarterback in New Jersey, showed good footwork and strong mechanics at The Opening Regional at Centreville High School. He did a nice job reading coverages and taking what the defense gave him. Leary was accurate on short and intermediate throws. He also showed nice touch on the deep ball.

Leary needs to continue to get stronger, especially in the lower body. However, he has a lot of natural ability and the potential to be a very good college quarterback.

Schools discussed in this video: NC State
