ATH Jalen Hooks One Of Ohio's More Underrated Prospects

Warren (OH) Harding athlete Jalen Hooks has the attention of college recruiters, and his ability to play both sides of the ball only increases his value.

Even though he was overshadowed last season by do-everything superstar teammate Lynn Bowden, Warren (OH) Harding two-way athlete Jalen Hooks is primed for a big senior season.

Hooks, who plays both wide receiver and defensive back, holds a handful of offers at this point. He is hoping to add more throughout the evaluation period.

"I have been offered by Eastern Kentucky, Boston College and Miami (OH)," Hooks stated. "I would say Miami is sticking out right now, and they're the only school I've visited."

"They are recruiting me as a defensive back," he added. "I'm also hearing a lot from Toledo and I'm hoping to get up there for a visit at some point."

"I don't have a schedule put together yet for camps to attend this summer," he continued. "I don't have a preference for where I play on the field, and I'm just looking for the right opportunity."

EVALUATION: Hooks has good size (6-foot-2, 185-pounds) and overall athletic ability. While he is a good wide receiver, he probably projects best as a safety at the next level. He has the ability to track the football in the air, while also being to come up strong in run support.
