Ontario (Calif.) Colony receiver/tight end Michael Ezeike has emerged as one of the top pass-catchers in the West this spring.
As a result, Ezeike has seen his recruitment soar, with 14 offers to his name.
Earlier this month, Ezeike took an unofficial visit to Oregon and raved about the trip.
"Oregon was great," said Ezeike. "It was a really good experience for me. What stood out the most was the intensity of practice and the hype."
Ezeike got a chance to meet with the Duck coaches on the trip.
"I talked to every coach but spent time with Coach (Willie) Taggart, Coach (Marcus) Arroyo and Coach (Mike) Johnson," said Ezeike.
Ezeike is planning to head up to UCLA this weekend for the Bruins' spring game and also plans to get up and visit unofficially later this spring.
"Coach Demetrice Martin is recruiting me at UCLA and I'll be up there on Saturday," said Ezeike. "I haven't been able to get up there this spring yet for an unofficial, but am planning to visit soon."
Ezeike plans a number of visits.
While Ezeike doesn't have a short list or a top five, a few schools are standing out.
"Right now, I'd say Oregon, UCLA, Utah and Cal," said Ezeike.
A few more could be close and others are showing more interest.
Ezeike has a timeframe in mind for a decision.
"I will drop a top five or seven in September on the 17th, on my birthday, and then I will be committing after the season." said Ezeike.
