He visited Cincinnati with teammates on Saturday and has several other visits across the country he is looking to make in the next several months.
"I'm also going up to Minnesota some time," Mangham said. "I want to make it down to Syracuse and plan on going back up to Michigan State. I also want to try to make it down south to Clemson and North Carolina and then out to UCLA, Arizona and Arizona State."
Mangham is originally from the south, he has only been in Detroit for three years. That is where he said his willingness to look at schools from coast to coast comes from.
Arizona has some connections to the state of Michigan. Head coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff coached at the University of Michigan and recruited several Cass Tech players during their time there, and director of player personnel Chris Singletary is a Detroit native.
"I keep in contact with everyone up there," Mangham said, "the head coach, the defensive backs coach, running backs coach. I've been out there, but not for a visit to any school, but I was out there on vacation."
Syracuse came through and offered several players at Cass Tech and his relationship with the staff is the main reason he wants to see more of the Orange.
"Syracuse, just the coaches and the way they talk to me [is why I want to visit]. They showed me a lot of interest," Mangham said.
The same goes for Minnesota, a school he has not been to before.
"The coaches, the way they play and how their offense is ran, how the defense is ran also, but also the atmosphere and the environment."
Mangham was one of Scout's top performers at the recent Under Armour All-America Camp in Chicago.
