The Braves should have one of the top defenses in the state next fall with BCS prospects at all three levels. Wednesday night, linebacker Kedron Williams became the third member of the defense to make his commitment announcing for the Washington State Cougars.
Williams is an athletic 'backer who has a safety frame but is tough, physical and can hit. He's very active, good in space, can drop in coverage and run down plays from behind. He dealt with a few injuries that cut short his junior season but was very impressive in the games he did play and should have a huge senior season.
As for his commitment to Wazzu, Williams developed a strong relationship with Cougar linebacker coach Roy Manning. The Cougs just offered last Thursday and after taking a week to mull things over, Williams decided to pull the trigger late Wednesday night.
We had a chance to catch up with Williams earlier today at Bosco who went in to more detail on his decision, the main factors in why he committed and whether he'll still look around and take a few official trips in the fall.
